  A returning client who we have worked with for many years is currently looking for a highly experienced and professional House Manager to oversee the smooth running of their home. They live in a listed Manor house which is situated on a very large estate. The role will also include some property management as there are plenty of refurbishments and renovations on buildings that are on the estate.   This is a fully staffed household which you will be expected to oversee. These include housekeepers, chefs, drivers, and gardeners. There are also many additional staff that work for the family business which is run from the estate – however they have their own management team, but you will be required to liaise with them from time to time. Governesses are also employed for the children. This is an incredibly busy household, and you must be able to hit the ground running.  It is key you have excellent communication, organisational and problem solving skills – being able to think outside the box when required. A long standing client of ours is looking for two professional and highly skilled housekeepers to join a team of staff. You will be required to work a 5 day week on a rotation where you will cover one weekend a month with two days off in the week.

This is a staffed household which includes, nannies, chefs, drivers, and security. This is a role where discretion is key.

It is essential that you have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a private household. You must have an eye for detail and take pride in your work. They have a four storey house so you must be fit an active.

Your duties will include but not limited to:

Dusting and hoovering each room in the house.

Polishing silver and antiques

Sanitising bathrooms and two kitchens.

Changing beds

Laundry

Keeping everything clean, tidy, and organised.

Flower arranging

Running errands

We have a new client on our books who are looking for a professional and experienced chef. It is essential that you have previous experience working within a private household on a full time basis.

The hours will mainly be from 11am through to 8pm. Any additional hours can be taken in lieu. You will be working a five day week which will include Saturday and Sunday. The family spend 6/7 months of the year in the UK and travel for the rest of the year. There is the opportunity to travel with them if you wish to but this is not essential.

During the week days you will be cooking for a couple. Weekends are busier with friends and family often visiting. They are looking for someone who can cook good healthy meals but  very much home style cooking. Fish/chicken  pies, roasts, salads, soups etc. Michelin presentation. When entertaining at weekends it can be up to 16 people for lunch and it is usually a buffet table for people to help themselves. Evening dinner parties can be up to 20 people and very much more of a 3-4 course finer dining experience. When the family are entertaining large groups there will be an assistant to work alongside you

They grow their own produce and want the chef to take advantage of the fruits and vegetables they grow. They are very much into organic and seasonal eating. Any surplus left over will be turned into jams, chutneys and kimchi. You should also be confident to make breads. desserts, and pastries.

At times during the summers and when travelling they like barbeque food. It would be ideal if you are confident barbeque racks of meat – not  a deal breaker though.

This is a fully staffed household so you must have excellent communication skills and able to work in a team environment. Organised and  the ability to keep all cooking areas clean is key.

You will be responsible for stocking the fridges and pantry along with sourcing the best ingredients.

This is a role for someone who is relaxed and unflappable and takes real pride in their work

The family have three dogs who are not your responsibility but you should feel comfortable with them being in the house (they do not enter the chefs kitchen)

Belgravia – Daily Governess

We have a new client on our books who have two children aged 2 & 3 years old. The youngest is a little boy who is very good natured, calm, likes to play, read books and enjoys going to various classes. His big sister is very active and likes to be busy. She attends a local nursery, loves to go horse riding and is quite sporty. Both enjoy going to drama clubs, parks, and music.

The family are looking for a native English speaker who can focus on the children’s language development. Although they understand English they need to practice speaking as it isn’t their first language. (they are bi lingual in French and Russian). Additionally, you will focus on the educational needs and developmental milestones.

The parents are looking for a mature candidate who is dynamic, engaging and has a warm and cheerful disposition. Someone who is confident to support the children in their language skills through play, talking, activities and outings.

The family employ housekeepers so you do not need to provide any nursery duties. However, they would like someone who is happy to prepare lunch for the children and occasionally dinner.

The family also have a doggie who is very much part of the family but won’t be your responsibility.

This is a position for someone who is confident in a sole and shared charge position.

Monday to Friday from 9am to 7pm with flexibility to occasionally cover the odd weekend with prior notice.
