Who We Are
The Founder
Natasha Earl was born and raised in London. Having studied Theatre and Performing Arts her dream was to work in the theatre. However, having worked in hospitality and retail during her studies she found her niche in recruitment. Her career began in High Street recruitment before she briefly became a Head Hunter in Rec to Rec. Not enjoying the bullish techniques used and preferring a more gentle and personal approach to recruitment she decided to open her own Nanny Agency in 2004. The business has grown from strength to strength and Natasha prides herself on the role she plays within Burlington Nannies. She is open and honest and has built up a good rapport with both clients and candidates.
Natasha is at the forefront of Burlington Nannies and when you speak with her you will see she is personable, nonjudgmental and approachable.
Clients
Burlington Nannies is a dedicated agency and we pride ourselves on seeking high calibre professionals to work in your home. Whether it be Nannies or Household staff.
We believe that our success is down to the personal service we offer to all of our clients. We personally meet each and every candidate who registers with Burlington Nannies. Each interview lasts approximately one hour. The time is spent finding out more about the candidate’s skills, qualifications and previous work experience. Along with their views on childcare, discipline, nutrition and educational, emotional and physical development. Having a nanny with the right experience and qualifications is key, but equally important is the personality match with the family.
When introducing a candidate we provide the following:
- A full and detailed CV
- Brief description of the candidate
- Copies of identifications of which Burlington Nannies have seen originals of (i.e. Passport, Driving Licence, Birth Certificate.
- Copies of relevant childcare certificates
- A minimum of two references supplied by previous employers that have also been verified by Burlington Nannies
- We confirm that the candidate holds a clear Criminal Record Disclosure

Throughout the whole process we will keep in close contact with the client. We will only select and present candidates that we truly believe are suitable for your position. We match by the qualifications, experience and personality required. We will give a full description of the vacancy to the prospective candidates. Once they confirm they are interested we will only then forward their details to the you. We will communicate between the candidate and the client to arrange the initial telephone/zoom interview before a face to face interview. Most interviews are held at the family home. However, should overseas clients wish to interview in the UK we will happily make arrangements for interviews to be held at our offices or in a hotel lounge. Once an offer of employment has been confirmed in writing we will assist in the organisation of contracts, nanny tax, travel arrangements and health insurance.

A maternity nurse can be booked from between 1 – 12 weeks or longer if needed and will work a 5 or 6 day week and be on call 24 hrs (with a 2-4 hour break each day).
A Maternity nurse is self-employed and will be paid directly on a weekly or monthly basis in the region of £300 to 600 per day for a single baby (more for twins or multiples).
She is able to teach and guide a new Mum thus giving her confidence and reassurance with her first baby.
A Mum who has undergone a C-section or difficult birth will need more recovery time and everyday help (not being able to lift things or drive for 6 weeks).
GOVERNESS
British and bilingual Governesses are in high demand especially for overseas families. A Governess is a Professional Teacher and Educator to the children within the family home. They usually have a degree in Education and a minimum of 5 years teaching experience and qualifications. They are responsible for the education, social development and cultural awareness of school age children within a private household.
It is possible to find a Governess who specialises or concentrates in a particular area such as language, music, sport and art depending on the individual families’ requirements and situation.
A Governess is able to supplement or complement the children’s education, where certain subjects are not covered at school or in need of extra tuition.
It might be that the family travel extensively and need to home-school their children or help bridge some gaps in their education.
With relocation to a different country, where languages and education levels might be different, employing a Governess can provide invaluable help to both parents and children.
Older children in need of tutoring with certain subjects to pass exams or entry into a certain school or college can benefit enormously from personalised tuition with an experienced Governess.
As part of their role a Bilingual Governess is often asked to teach a second language (Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, German, Mandarin …)
Governesses will work alongside a Nanny but are normally not expected to do any household duties.
Recognised qualifications include:
QTS (Qualified Teacher status)
Teacher Training Certificate
PGCE (Post Graduate Certificate in Education)
EYFS (Early Years Professional Status)
MA in Education
